Souvenirs of the Bergisch Land

Supervisors
Prof. Gert Trauernicht, Prof. Martin Topel, Andreas Kalweit

‘Souvenirs, Souvenirs’, Bill Ramsey sang in the 1980s, and the small reminders of an enjoyable day out or holiday are as popular as ever. Stretching between Wuppertal and Cologne, the Bergisch Land has a lot to offer in this respect, and is looking to extend its repertoire of attractive gifts for tourists.

The development of Bergisch souvenirs is on this year’s agenda for third semester students at UWID. Concepts range from the marketing of regional delicacies, through band and ribbon weaving, to fashionable accessories and an industrial archaeology tour.

Bergisch Souvenirs is a cooperative project between UWID and the Bergisch Regional Development Agency.
